Advisory Water Commission

The Advisory Water Commission represents the varied water interests of San Joaquin County.  The purpose of the Commission is to study and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors of the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District regarding flood control, drainage, water distribution, underground water conditions, water pollution, water supply needs, water exportation, supplemental water supplies, salinity control, water rights, recreation, State and Federal water activities and policies, water quality, and other water conservation & flood control activities. 

Membership

The Commission consists of 19 members representing the cities, irrigation districts, delta water agencies, unorganized areas of San  Joaquin County, environmental interests, and the public at-large.  A designee from each of the following may also serve as Ex-Officio Members: San Joaquin County Counsel's Office, San Joaquin County Department of Public Works, and the California Water Service Company.  For more information, about the Advisory Water Commision please refer to the "Board Details" and "Member Roster" areas of San Joaquin County's Boards commsions and committees website located here.
